The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is the principal law enforcement agency in the Australian state of Queensland. The QPS has its origins in colonial-era constabularies, and was constituted as a unified organisation in 1864. In 1990, the Queensland Police Force was renamed the Queensland Police Service and its previous motto of "Firmness with Courtesy" was changed to "With Honour We Serve". The headquarters of the Queensland Police Service is located at 200 Roma Street, Brisbane. As of 2026, the QPS employs over 18,000 personnel, including 13,000 police officers and 5,000 staff members.
