API access

The API is open — you can start calling it right now without any key. Keys are an optional courtesy: they identify your client and raise your rate limit.

What a key gets you
  • A higher rate limit (default 120 requests/min vs 60/min anonymous).
  • Usage identification, so we can warn you before breaking changes.
  • Nothing else — every endpoint stays fully available without one.

Keys are issued manually, usually within a few days. Send the key with an X-API-Key header. See the API documentation to get started.
